Mechanical Assembly Technician
Alba Manufacturing is looking for a Mechanical Assembly Technician. We are experiencing tremendous growth and we’re looking for the right individuals to grow with us. The qualified candidate must have at least a good mechanical aptitude and a basic understanding of blueprints; if you have a good attitude and work ethic we’ll train you on the rest.
Here’s what an Assembly Technician does at Alba:
- Performs tasks in a safe manner and adheres to safety rules and regulations.
- Gathers the necessary parts to assemble each unit.
- Assembles/builds material handling equipment (roller conveyors, drag chain conveyors, transfers, pallet stackers, pallet dispensers, etc.) in the proper sequence according to the assembly blueprint using nuts, bolts, pins, etc.
- Works individually or as part of a team.
- Ensures that each piece of equipment is fully assembled and functional according to customer specifications.
- Performs a Factory Acceptance Test for each piece of equipment.
- Coordinates with the paint department to ensure that the paint is touched-up prior to shipping.
- Coordinates with the project engineer for a final inspection prior to shipping.
As an Assembly Technician at Alba your responsibilities will also include:
- Reading and following blueprints.
- Following verbal instructions.
- Having basic tools (socket wrenches, box & open end wrenches, Allen wrenches, screwdrivers, hammer, tape measure, wire cutter, wire stripper, etc.).
- Following all safety regulations.
- Operating all equipment in a safe manner.
- Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Other Information:
- Duties may change daily depending on work order requirements.
- This job may require standing, bending, squatting, laying, and kneeling.
- Overtime may be required.
- This is a permanent first shift position.
