Amid the COVID-19 crisis, the global market for Trash Bags estimated at $9.6 Billion in the year 2020, is projected to grow upwards of $13.3 Billion by 2027.1 It is thought that the increasing awareness and focus on hygiene has amplified the demand for trash bags globally.2
Trash bags are widely used in the retail, manufacturing, and institutional industries. With different varieties for yard and kitchen waste alone, you’d be hard pressed to not find an assortment of trash bags in every American home today.
Joining in the effort to help Americans stash their trash, Alba partnered with RZ Automation to assist a trash bag manufacturer in automating a new pallet building line using a robotic palletizer. Alba’s standard pallet dispenser was able to fit the bill and provide a steady flow of pallets into the robot cell.
Able to release up to two empty pallets per minute, Alba’s robustly designed pallet dispenser, accepts stacks of 15 pallets into the 7-gauge sheet steel lined, structural channel reinforced, pallet magazine. An ultra-sonic sensor ensures fork trucks are clear before allowing the dispenser to proceed with its cycle and discharge single pallets 90° from loading orientation.
Alba’s standard fixed cycle control package was supplied, allowing pallets to automatically feed into RZ Automation’s palletizing cell. Included in the controls package was a low pallet stack sensor, alerting operators via beacon light once the number of pallets in the magazine drops below five pallets. |
